UPSC Civil Services syllabus 2015
Civil Services Preliminary exam comprises of two papers and candidates have to appear in both off them. These two papers are knows as General Services One and General Services Two (GS one and Two). Question that asked on these papers based on multiple choice type questions.
GS paper I syllabus:-
Topics included in this sections are based on these subjects Current events of national and international importance, Indian and World Geography – Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World, Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change, Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues and History of India and Indian National Movement
GS paper one marks will be counted for qualifying to the Mains exam
GS Paper II syllabus:-
Comprehension, Decision-making and problem-solving, Logical reasoning and analytical ability, Basic numeracy, General mental ability, Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc – Class X level), Interpersonal skills including communication skills.
Time allotment for both paper is 2 hours. Both papers are off 200 marks.
